[Suspense. Kise's trying not to stare and ask about whether he likes it or no too much, but he's definitively itching to know.]

No really, he's not giving Kise feedback, he's just going on with his life and cleaning up. He also gets a treat for Merlin, who is following him around about a foot behind him wherever he treads. ]

[He's not expecting some kind of high praise, but he did expect some kind of reaction.

Kise peers at Midorima, then at the plate with treats. He can't gauge whether they are good or no, Midorima's expression is the same as always!

...he plucks one from the plate to give it a look. Then a bite. He didn't burn them, right? ...tastes fine to him...]

[ Midorima gives him a look with his brows furrowed. ]

Do you normally eat gifts you give? [ They're his... ]

[There are two batches in the container he brought over! But that's not the point-]

You didn't say anything! So I wondered if I burned them or something!

[He's still not a pro at reading Midorima completely. This is first time he's giving him a baked gift!]

[ He sounds a little huffy when he says it, but it's more.. like.. he doesn't really know how to react when people do things for him. Going quiet and being awkward tends to be his go-to when people are nice to him.

But after a moment or so of consideration, he says: ]

He didn't expect thanks! Jeez- Midorima goes from 0 to 180 so fast. Then again, Kise kind of pushed it didn't he...? He scratches back of his neck, mumbling-]

Don't thank me, I wanted to make them for you.

Suddenly Merlin playing with Midorima's pantleg looks more interesting than looking at Midorima himself.]

[ So there. Midorima doesn't even seem to be bothered by Merlin doing this, he's used to it. ]

What are you doing after this?

[And there's the nickname. He knows it's a nickname because there's no serious bite behind it.

So he just smiles and kicks idly his foot back and forth.]

Hm? Oh, nothing. I thought I'd need more time to make these- I've been trying to make them last two days and it was a disaster. So I figured I'd be done by evening today? But, apparently, I didn't mess up this time.

[Yeah, he just blurted out all of that.]

You have time to hang out?

[ Midorima goes back into the fridge and takes out two waters, putting one in front of Kise. They're bottled, despite being at home. Because they're going out. ]

I'm going to a swap meet, then the gym. You're coming.

[That's fine- Kise keeps bottled waters in his fridge too, it's not weird. He didn't think they would go to the gym though- he doesn't have clothes.

Yes. With two people, we can carry more purchases.

[ Kise will be his pack mule. So romantic. ]

[Isn't that how all teen dramas are? The boyfriend carries his girlfriend's bags from a shopping trip.

Still didn't explain what swap meet is. No, wait- it's that thing about exchanging items, isn't it?]

Alright. I'm kind of curious to see this, not gonna lie.

[Maybe he should also keep an eye on Midorima's "shopping spree" since it's cordis. He might end up wanting to get everything from the meeting.]

[ Why is Midorima the girlfriend!!

He takes one more ball out to snack on before putting the rest away. Then he goes to fetch reusable bags for shopping. Merlin can't fetch antiques and rare items. Plus, Midorima has fun with this sort of thing. ]

[Because he's bossy and Kise is the one carrying all the bags. Obviously.

Kise's kind of excited to see this gathering and exchange. Is Midorima a good bargainer? He says cordis makes him indulge more than usual so maybe he should keep an eye on him and not let him get everything his eye falls on.]

Nope! I only know about it since you mentioned it a while back, when I asked you how you get all the lucky items.

[ Meanwhile, Midorima is thinking if he doesn't have enough money for what he wants, he can pull Kise into a bathroom and kiss him for a few minutes. u_u He's a brat, sorry Kise. ]

[ MIdorima hands the bags to Kise to carry, then makes sure that Merlin is ready to stay home alone for now. He can't come with, he is too much of a menace for the swap meet. ]

[As if Kise will ever say no to kisses from Midorima, regardless of their intention. Besides, he'll be getting chroma from it too. He wouldn't mind if Midorima kissed him in the middle of the street even.]

Let's get going! Sorry buddy, [he turns to Merlin as he takes the bags,] can't come. We'll take you out some other time.

[He waits for Midorima by the door, ready to head out once Midorima finishes handling Merlin.]

[ Midorima is not going to kiss him in the middle of the street for sure. He's not ashamed of Kise, he just values his own privacy. ]

He just got back from a store he's allowed at, he needs a nap.

[ He is a small dog with a lot of excitement. He apparently seems to agree, at least, and heads over to drink some water and then go lay down for a nap. Midorima heads out the door once he's settled, going ahead of Kise to lead the way. ]

[He's just saying- he's there for emergency kisses.

He catches up to Midorima with ease, but it's clear that he's leading the way. After all, Kise has no idea where this meeting is.]

How often are these meetings? Weekly? Monthly?

[Midorima spending fortune on random items...Ah! He has nothing to trade with. Damn. Maybe he can just buy something off.]

[ It's actually not too far from where he lives, though. He figures he will explain a few things while they are on the way though. ]

If you see anything you recognize as value, don't say it out loud or they may try to raise the price when we barter.

[ Midorima's been doing this a while. ] We'll need to decide on a signal ahead of time if you see something valuable.

[ Since Midorima will then.. barter it down even lower. B| Once Kise sees him do it once or twice, he'll let Kise try to barter. ]

[Different people see different objects in a different way. He needs to be in clear to know what to look for.

Rare items, anything limited edition or that fulfills a wide variety of characteristics that could be potential lucky items. Things of monetary value here are also important, since we can resell them for a higher value if the seller isn't aware of their value and bring in demichroma.

[ Midorima isn't exactly moonlacing enough to afford everything that he wants, okay.. he has to be frugal and make money in other ways! ]
