[ Midorima takes out his device, on which he has instructions saved. ]

A metal bowl, a pot of water, a candy thermometer, molds, and chocolate. I brought the last three, can you check the cabinets for the first two?

[ He's heading for his bags to get the parts that he thought probably wouldn't be here out. ]

Got it.

[ She'll be the best assistant! And eventually take over when Midorima burns everything... ]

How big should the bowl be? [ Lots of rummaging on her end as she calls out to him. There's one that's the size of a watermelon... ] Is this good?

[ He doesn't really know how to answer that, so he just.. reads off the instructions. ]

It says to create a double-boiler by filling the pot half-way with water and placing the bowl on top of the pot.

[ So it has to fit in the pot, so whatever fits that. He comes over with his stuff and starts opening up the packaging for the molds and thermometer. They're brand new, it's not like MIdorima had these beforehand. ]

A double-boiler? I don't know what that is.

[ What the fuck is that. But you know what? She's going to just listen to Midorima. The bowl's pretty big then, so she goes to look for a bowl that's smaller, and a pot that's the same size.

The pot and bowl she ends up with are a normal size. She sets them on the counter before she starts fixing the cupboard. It wasn't organised properly when they got in! So here she is... Doing that now, arranging everything by colour and by size. ]

I don't know. I assume what we're making with the pot and the bowl.

[ He really should've found a video.. oh well. They'll figure it out or they won't and they can both be bad at cooking. He'll save a little piece of chocolate on the side in case they ruin it so they can both have at least one bite, even if it's not the nice kind they're trying to make.

He watches her organize it while goes to pre-wash the mold and the thermometer. Who knows what gets on stuff during manufacturing, better safe than sorry. He likes watching her organize things. It's cute. ]

[ This is going to take some time, Midorima. In fact, it takes about four minutes, unless he interrupts her and calls her attention to get it over with.

In which case, she will pout and drop everything so she can put water in the pot. It was one of the things Midorima said he needs, after all! ]

[ That's fine. He finishes washing what they're actually using and setting it on the stovetop, then just watching her for the rest of it. When she finishes, she'll see him just looking at her. ]

[ adaskj don't judge him, Midorima!! She did what she had to do. ]

What? It was a disorganised cupboard!

I know. I think they call it "ASMR" to watch something like that.

[ He's not explaining what that means. He just likes watching her organize, shut up. ]

Come chop the chocolate, I'll start the water.

Huh? What do you mean?

[ She somehow assumes there are videos of people organising things for fun... She doesn't know exactly what those letters stand for, though. ]

— Right. [ Whatever, Midorima doesn't have to explain. She heads to the counter, taking the chocolate and then checking one of the drawers for the knife. ]

How big should the chocolate be? Like dice?

[ He's not answering that. Figure it out yourself, Weiss. He's moved on to the chocolate. ]

Small enough to melt.

[ He doesn't know.. He's filling the pot and putting it over high heat. ]

Where's the recipe? Maybe it says something about it...

[ Nothing against him. She just wants to have reference! ]

[ He holds his device out in her face. It just says chop into small pieces! ]

That's helpful.

[ Alright, then! She's going to get to work, dicing the chocolate like carrots. It's a little hard though, but she perseveres!! For now. ]

[ He puts the bowl on top of the pot once it starts boiling, which causes it to immediately start overboiling and hissing as the water spills onto the hot surface. Midorima quickly turns the heat down until it's not overboiling... shh pretend that didn't happen ]

[ Look, so long as they follow instructions then they will be okay. (Mostly.) Weiss doesn't really know any better, so she'll leave the direction of how they will cook to Midorima!

The chocolate is rather hard though, Midorima will suddenly hear "swish" sound, and a Glyph appears beneath the block of chocolate. Weiss will suddenly appear quicker to him, and the speed of which she uses to chop seems to be effective in dicing everything. Not to mention, they aren't wasting time like this!

Cheater. ]

[ Omg chocolate isn't that hard Weiss??? People do this all the time. In fact, Midorima looks over at her. ]

Are you okay?

[ Why do you need magic to do something normal human bakers and patissieres do all the time...? ]

What? It saves time.

[ See? She's done now. It makes everything so easy! ]

[ He can't fault her for that, so he supposes he'll just keep going. Not that he really.. knows what he's doing. ]

I think the chocolate goes in the bowl now.

[schmisse]

Okay, then. What's next?

[ She'll put the chocolate in the bowl! And then Midorima said the bowl's supposed to go on the pot? So okay... That, too! ]

Stare at it until it melts.

[ He assumes? It's over the heat now. He double checks the instructions, then nods and gets the candy thermometer, putting the tip in the chocolate. ]

It says we have to heat it to 40.5 Celsius, stir to cool to 27.7, heat again to 29.4. It seems like we're trying to use heat to restructure the molecules in the chocolate.

[ He isn't much of a cook, but this is more like chemistry?? This doesn't sound too awful as he reads through it. ]

It doesn't say why we're doing it, I think it'd be interesting to know.

[ Can they put the chocolate under a microscope at the different stages... he didn't bring a microscope... ]

[ What the fuck is this nerdery ]

Why don't you look it up now?

[ She wants to know, too!! ]

[ That would spoil the surprise!! ]

We should do this sometime back home with a microscope.

[ She guesses they're just gonna make regular shaped chocolate today. It's not a big deal, though. She's happy to spend time with him, no matter what the chocolate looks like... or even if it tastes bad or whatever. ]

[ He imagines it's harder to do this with special shapes and stuff...

This process takes a long while, and longer if you are watching it the whole time, so Midorima finds himself staring annoyedly. He wants to turn the heat up again... ]
