[ There are people in the park, but there's still a lot of space for them—or rather, Weiss—to showcase what she's learned the past year and few months. She scans the area and walks over to a clearing where they shouldn't be bothered. it's not so big—perhaps about 50 square meters or so, then Weiss looks at him. ]

This should be fine, and it's not like we'll be harming anybody, anyway. [ She's about to start, then she remembers: ] It might get a little cold.

[ More like really cold... and it begins with the ground below them being covered in a layer of ice when she points two fingers on the ground before drawing a circle around them. The grass disappears and turns to white before it becomes encased in cold and sturdy ice. It doesn't end there, either. As Weiss concentrates on things that relaxes her, the ice travels upwards to create a wall around them. It all happens rather slowly, but the ice and glitter fall together and lift them from the ground to create a small tower. Should Weiss not get distracted by any reactions, the process speeds up. ]

[ They're harming the grass, that's for sure. Midorima keeps this comment to himself. Despite the weather outside, she's not wrong about it getting cold and Midorima suddenly wishes he'd brought a proper sweater. He will end up shivering for sure, but staying quiet for the most part. He does try to stick somewhat close to Weiss so he doesn't get in the way of anything she's trying to do, so she might notice him moving a little more directly behind her and trying to stay quiet.

If he'd seen this when he's first arrived, he might've been significantly more alarmed, but since it's Weiss so he knows for a fact she's not going to hurt him and he's a little more aware of dunamis than when he first arrived, he ends up looking mostly fascinated. Everything Weiss does is elegant and skillful it seems, he can't help but be impressed. Which means he'll pretty much keeps his mouth shut until she says she's done since Midorima doesn't know how to compliment like a normal human being. ]

[ Midorima should be impressed. Weiss won't demand it, but Weiss has learned a lot during her almost-two year stay here in Empatheias. She's dedicated herself to learning emotion magic since her first month here, and it's why she's very confident that she can teach people how to properly use Dunamis and such. She may not be a prodigy at home, but she's always been hardworking to the point of being a perfectionist when it comes to the things she does.

When the tower finally finishes building itself just from Weiss' emotions, she lets out a rather content huff. There's a window that they can see the view of the park through. There are some kids and some other people nearby who seem to be staring at them, rather astounded by the sight. ]

This world likes turning my emotions into ice. For over a year, I could only control ice and water, but since I went home and returned here a little while later, I was able to control more elements.

[ The attention doesn't bother Midorima. It's impressive and she deserves to get recognition for that. ]

How much work did it take to develop your skills this much?

[ He would take hard-working over a prodigy any day. Particularly given that he's seen her practically walks on little ice trails, he imagines this took a lot of control to learn to take care of this.He has other questions, of course, but that he asked that at all is his recognition that Weiss has done something that must have taken work to develop. It's his roundabout way of a compliment. ]

[ She'll take it as a compliment even though he isn't phrasing it as such. He acknowledges she has the skills, and it makes her proud that she's being noticed in such a manner. ]

It took about half a year, I suppose. I practised everyday, and if I was busy that day, I made sure to at least be able to spend some time on training even if it was just ten minutes.

[ She looks over to him now and she wonders if he's cold. Probably. She did say it would get cold, so she touches the sill of the window and concentrates on her calm until the tower they're standing on gradually lowers itself to the ground. What was once the base holding up the tower turns into glitter before evaporating in the air. ]

Too cold?

I'm fine.

[ He is cold, but like hell if he's admitting to it. He'll get frostbite before he admits it's affected him. Despite that he's shivering a teensy bit, if she's feeling particularly observant. ]

It takes a lot of discipline and dedication to complete practice like that. It sounds like you've been doing everything in your power to improve.

[ ~~doki doki~~ Weiss might've just friendship leveled-up. ]

[ It'd be sad if she didn't improve over the course of a year and more! Weiss may not be perfect (not yet), but she tries her best.

She finds the shivering funny, by the way. Sorry, Midorima. ]

[ Sadly, there's nothing she's willing to do to help him. She's not going to hug him...???? That would be weird. He hasn't earned the right for that yet.

Once they're back on the ground, the grass is only a little wet! And there's glitter everywhere. You just walked into a strip club and had a girl rub he breasts all over you, Midorima. ]

The glitter is nice, though it gets messy whenever I make something big.

It's ice, what do you expect me to say? I can be cold and fine.

[ Let him be his prideful self Weiss!! Don't judge his shivering!! ]

Explain the glitter.

[ Because. He gets the ice. Why the glitter?? Weiss doesn't seem like a birthday party gone wrong to him. ]

[ She just shakes her head, and there's a sign of a smirk on her lips. ]

Whatever you say. As for the glitter? I don't know. [ She really doesn't, but she thinks it's nice to look at together with the ice. ] It's harmless, at least.

Glitter is a pain to get out of everything.

[ Weiss isn't a pain but her glitter is. His shoes are going to be bedazzled for the next month. X( ]

[ He's set in his decision that what he can do is all luck-related in some way, for better or worse. ]

[ Sorry Weiss, he hasn't been here to practice as long as you have! He's working on it though!! Though he's working on growing 4-leaf clovers so that's not particularly helpful. ]

Can you? I thought yours was ice and glitter.

It used to be just those two, but I've been able to do other things since I came back.

[ With a flick of her wrist, a very, very tiny tornado dances from one side of Midorima's shoulder to another. The glitter gets brushed away easily. ]

There we go.

[ This is easily one of the strangest things he's ever experienced, and he visibly stiffens while the tornado moves about his shoulders. It gets it off him at least (though he's sure he'll still find something somewhere later). ]

How many elements can you control?

Enough.

[ Enough that she is able to get shit done, anyway. The number of elements there are may be debatable when there are various types of Dust, which may not be considered the same type of elements in other worlds. ]

[ Don't get him started on that kind of elemental distribution. He's a chemistry kind of guy, if you try to explain that mixing white dust and blue dust together makes ice dust he's going to have a conniption because that doesn't make any sense in terms of molecular elements since ice and water are the same thing at different temperatures, not two elements mixed together.

"Enough" is probably the best answer she can give for this reason, even if he wants to know more. ]

That's vague.

I don't really know the answer, myself. It's a lot easier to create ice over fire and wind, although earth is not something I've touched on just yet.

What emotions do you tap into to achieve each of those elements?

[ Sorry Weiss, he's in learning mode. He'd probably be taking notes if he had something to take them with. ]

Magic is a lot easier to do when I'm calm.

[ It makes her more concentrated. And it's not like she has a lot of happy memories to fall back on in case she isn't calm. ]

Do you want me to teach you?

[ He considers for a moment, because he doesn't do emotions openly with anyone. Weiss is intelligent though, and understands not wanting to be emotionally open about everything, and it doesn't actively hurt his pride to ask her for help. So he gives her a nod. ]

I'll give you homework, then.

[ ... she sounds excited by the idea of giving homework. (unsure) ]

Try to switch the lights in your room on and off without getting up from your seat. If you can do it everyday for an entire week, let me know.

[ Midorima looks determinedly like he might like the idea of getting homework. (unsure) Someone help these nerds?

Incidentally, Weiss has just unleashed hell on Kuroko since Midorima will be practicing this essentially until he gets it and likely won't consider the main room of the apartment is not the best place to do it. ]

That shouldn't take too long.
