There's a shortcut here- [ She swipes the top of the screen down where there's a bunch of buttons that you can just click to turn the wi-fi on, data, flashlight, bluetooth, etc. And there's a button at the bottom for the clock app! She opens that. ]

See? You can set your alarms here, and there's a stopwatch and a timer, too.

[ He looks mildly startled about it for a moment himself, but it's Weiss so it's more acceptable than if it were someone else. He doesn't withdraw.

Scrolls in Remnant are similar to what we have now. You can make Scrolls more compact though, so they fit easily in your pocket. Having a touch screen also makes things a lot easier.

[ Anyway, she's showed him the stopwatch. She heads back to his homescreen and... has her thumb hover over Prismagram. ]

[ She accepts the role of Daily Doggy Text Sender. She'll even send him pictures of other things!! Like food or maybe kooky pictures of Ruby or the troupe or something... It'll depend on the day. Weiss is comfortable with Midorima, despite not knowing much about him. She's happy to share stuff about her day with him. ]

[ He may send her photos of things periodically. He knows she already checks her lucky item, so it'll mostly be if he finds something interesting. Certainly nowhere near as much as she sends him, but he will appreciate what she sends unless he thinks it's stupid. Then he will tell her because he is a rude butt. ]

Just wait until the electricity is back, I guess.

[ It's a little weird, though. . . It's almost worrying, but Weiss is just a little used to bad things happening that she can't help but think about the possibilities rather than consider this to be a normal power outage. ]

I hope there's nothing big going on that caused it.

An escape room is your lucky item. If there is something going on, that means that as unlucky as this may seem, being here has spared you a much worse fate that you may not have been able to avoid otherwise. I've had that happen many times.

You know, when we first met, I thought you were rude and annoying. You're actually very nice and accommodating once you get past the prickly exterior.
