[ How long does it take to cook anyway? Midorima's almost done with his bento and he's pretty sure if Mayuzumi keeps focusing on the conversation he's going to end up cooking like Midorima might. Plus, it gets Mayuzumi off the conversation if he's back focusing on whatever it is he's making.
Midorima's still hungry himself though, so he's wondering if there are any snacks in the cupboards too.. has Murasakibara been a Cordis this whole time? ]
[ And indeed, his noodles are already done as he says it, pouring the meal out of the pan and onto a plate. Sure, it's nothing fancy, but it's quick and should taste fine.
He also ended up making a little more than will fit on his plate. ]

I think I made a little too much for me though, my bad. I suppose I got way too used to cooking for more than one person back in...

Cooking to share with Akashi, with Kuroko, with Emerald when she'd drop by...and Midorima, too. It's funny, but it...really hadn't been so bad, living in that house in the woods together with those guys, including the one who's in the room with him now that doesn't remember a thing about it. ]
[ Midorima's problem with munchies are solved then. Without hesitation, he shares what he's thinking: ]

[ Cordis moon is a life ruiner. At least the increased metabolism makes up for the appetite. He holds out an empty part of his bento to Mayuzumi for the other boy to fill it up. ]

[ He doesn't seem bothered by that, though, just piling the extra noodles into Midorima's bento. Even if he didn't already know Midorima isn't a bad guy despite that prickly attitude from before, it's been proven all over again by how helpful the guy's been today.
Also those furry tanuki features really are magical in their way, a window dressing that somehow softens the guy's attitude into adorable tsundere territory instead of being annoying; and then there's that pleasant and inviting scent in the air again that becomes noticeable now that they're closer. Yeah, Midorima really is pretty cute right now, making Mayuzumi just want to pinch the guy's cheeks and snuggle up with Midorima in a nice comfy hug and oh god he's thinking about it again, what the hell is this??
He clears his throat, glancing off to the side. ]
It's not as fancy as that bento, but it should taste all right.

He's going to take a bite almost immediately once he's served, though he's very dignified in doing so and even takes a napkin to dab his lips once he does. His pheromones are probably much stronger now that Mayuzumi is in front of him instead of off cooking at the kitchen, too, which likely isn't helping this situation. ]
[ The moment he sits down across from the guy and tries to eat it feels like these weird thoughts that keep swirling around in his brain aren't going anywhere despite the distraction of food.
If anything, they're getting significantly worse and not better; the moment Midorima takes a bite Mayuzumi's gaze suddenly feels locked on the guy's mouth, watching the noodles slurp between his lips. Before the sauce gets dabbed away by Midorima's napkin he feels a strange urge to reach across the table and use his thumb to remove the offending droplet, or maybe just stand up and lean across the table and...
He suddenly flushes and forces his gaze down to his plate, seriously trying to get the image of his tongue swiping across Midorima's lips immediately drop-kicked out of his brain before he has a chance to dwell on it. Where the hell did that even come from??
Focus on the food! The food!! The food that's on his plate, not what's passing through this guy's mouth!! After taking a bite of his own meal he latches onto Midorima's question and immediately starts rattling off the ingredients. ]
Ah, it's, uh, just whatever odds and ends you had in the fridge. Some vegetables like carrots and green onions and mushrooms, things like that. And some of that leftover pork you had too. The, uh, sauce has ginger and some oyster sauce in it. Oh, and uh, there's a chili in there so it's going to be a little spicy, I probably should've warned you first. But I mean, stir-fried noodles are best when there's a little heat to it, right?
[ ...He's definitely babbling right now and just making himself feel even more awkward. And here he'd thought that weird cuddling impulse was bad enough. If he's gonna be thinking about doing something like that with a guy it should at least be Akashi, damn it, not Midorima! ]
[ Midorima doesn't know Mayuzumi well enough to recognize whether this behavior is normal or not-- well, normal for him. Midorima is observant, but not particularly good at interpreting emotional responses so he remains entirely dense to whatever reactions Mayuzumi is having to him eating except deciding that Mayuzumi is somewhat odd.

Takao consumes far spicier things, it wouldn't be the first time I've been ambushed with heat.
[ Despite the accusation of an ambush, he doesn't mind that much. Spicy is fine as long as it's not like, ridiculous or intended to be a "challenge." He's still eating it, though one noodle slips from his lips and he has to purse them to suck it up, and then actually does lick his lips to get the sauce off. Which is hot, and making his lips swell a little bit. (Mayuzumi did this to himself making spicy noodles??) ]
