[ Midorima isn't actually intent on using it to manipulate Eichi. He rather likes kissing him, and when Midorima gets what he wants he tends to be a lot less cranky. But he's also still not the type to behave affectionately, so anything he does he's going to either be very serious about or he's going to have an excuse for.
He isn't quite sure what they are, but he knows that Eichi isn't serious about him, so being serious back would be a problem. Eichi doesn't want him so much as he wants someone to love him, and Midorima has no intention of setting himself up to be hurt, so the walls will remain up and so will the excuses.
He ends up taking his time perusing the burger joints. Thankfully, there are a couple of 'craft' burger places so he ends up being able to order kaleslaw instead of fries from one of them. The burgers themselves are just normal burgers.
He'll miss fries with his meal, but he wants to make sure Eichi doesn't get too much grease. If he has burger, he has to eat a healthy side. Thankfully, Midorima likes vegetables just fine. The only food he truly loathes is natto, and that's not an option with burgers so he isn't concerned. ]
