[ Does Midorima realize he calls Kuroko as he might a dog? As Kuroko follows behind, he debates the answer. Since it's him, Midorima probably doesn't intend for it to sound that way.
Or maybe he does.
Whatever the answer may be, Kuroko makes it to the locker room before collapsing on the bench. For a moment, he manages to stay in place, but then he turns onto his back and lays down. He's very tired. ]
[ He does the same with Takao. It's not meant harmfully, it's just.. how he talks. ]
If you wanted to sit on a bench, just say as much next time.
[ He goes to the lockers to find their things then and leaves Kuroko within his line of sight on the bench. He comes back not even a minute later with their things. ]
[ It's not harmful at all. Kuroko knows Midorima. ]
I didn't particularly want to sit on a bench.
[ Just so Midorima knows.
When his taller friend returns, Kuroko sits and accepts the clothing. He's slow in redressing, but Midorima is lucky that he's conscious at all. Tired Kuroko doesn't really last long.
No longer in the nude, he sits back onto the bench. ]
Midorima-kun, I'm still tired. Please wait with me.
[ He's not leaving Kuroko after he just almost died. Not more than a few seconds to fetch what he needs, anyway. Midorima stays standing to change his own clothing. They're in the lockers at least, and it's better than out in the open before and certainly better than Midorima's own suit malfunctioning while Kuroko was too exhausted to properly do anything about it in return.
Once he's changed back into his normal clothing, he folds the LIFE suit and puts it with Kuroko's. ]
You're going home after this.
[ Or at least to.. wherever Kuroko is staying. Not really home. ]
[ Kuroko would save Midorima, even if he was tired.
He would try, anyway.
Now that the adrenaline has faded, Kuroko's fatigue is showing. His chest rises and falls more rapidly, and sweat's appeared along his brow. A lot of chroma was taken from his body. ]
Yes. When I can walk far enough, I'll go to the apartment.
[ Midorima has no idea about the house, unfortunately. But he also doesn't want to make Kuroko wait here the whole time, and chroma is going to help him recover. He considers for a moment what the most logical option here is. ]
If I carry you, it'll generate chroma and will instigate a faster recovery.
I only came to participate in LIFE suit testing with the intention of purchasing one if they truly were able to generate extra chroma.
[ Midorima doesn't produce enough on his own to not feel horrifyingly exhausted all the time. He would've let Eichi latch onto him all day if it meant getting a suit so he could go back to being his usual touch-free self. But getting squeezed or chroma-zapped to death probably isn't a good idea, especially since he already metabolizes chroma faster than the other blessed anyway. ]

There's no need. I'll recover soon.
[ He's sure he'll be fine soon. He doesn't know how soon, but it'd be okay. ]
Did you have plans for today?

[ So yes, he had plans. ]
