[ That's completely fine with Midorima. He's up, of course, as he doesn't ever miss his lucky item unless circumstances prevent him from doing so. (Though on those days, he can usually at least guess what his ranking is, even if not his color and item.) For Cancer's lucky item, he has the biggest family size box of cornflakes he could find.
That said, he knows what Aquarius's lucky item is, but he hasn't quite caught onto that Weiss is actually following it- so he doesn't expect her call at all. He answers. ]
My lucky item is an escape room today. Do you want to do one with me?
[ There's a hidden please in there. Midorima likes to make plans and include Weiss in them sometimes, but Weiss is the kind of person who would actually invite someone if she wants them around. She could make the decision for both of them, but he probably won't appreciate that. ]
Let's just hope the actual pianist doesn't make any mistakes once we start performing.
[ Because!! That would be terrible!! She gets it, though. The show must go on, et cetera.
She scoots a little closer to reach the proper keys and plays the part Midorima toyed around with earlier, adding her own take on it. A little improvisation certainly doesn't hurt - it adds your own flavour to a piece! ]
Maybe something like this would have been better, though. [ And eventually, she continues, reading the piece while adding some more flair. The style of the song itself changes, and she sings along, following a different, more upbeat rhythm now. ]
There's one that opens at 10, though since I wasn't able to put in a reservation for a room, we'll just have to do whatever room is available.
[ She says "we", but she hasn't exactly heard him agree to it yet. ]
There's a lot of time to get ready and do whatever else you do in the morning. I mean, if you don't have any plans and you don't mind coming with me, anyway. I'd appreciate it if you did.
[ This is actually pretty fun?? And she's going to let him play the bassline, following what he's set up so she can harmonise with it. The song sounds so much different now, and she sings along again until they get to the end. ]
[ They've got to make sure to keep it in the right key, but as long as they do it should sound fine. It's certainly got a different vibe to the song now, but it's enjoyable to play and listen to her sing anyway. ]
[ It's not the whole piece she has a solo in, but she does have a verse and she sings in the chorus. She may as well practice the whole thing even if she's by herself. (Well, Midorima is there, but he's not singing.)
She flips the book towards the back to show him. It's a pretty lengthy piece, but less complicated than the earlier pieces since the focus is the vocals. ]
[ He nods and takes a gander at the piece, but doesn't take as long before he starts playing for her. He plays it through perfectly this time, not testing her. ]
