[ Midorima notices, but keeps reading for a while because he isn't quite ready for bed yet. Beside that, holding Weiss is warm and nice. He's enjoying the moment. Eventually, they end up in bed though.
As for waking up, Midorima wakes up at the exact same time every day like clockwork, with or without an alarm clock or dog to bark at him (as Merlin absolutely followed Weiss downstairs instead of bothering Midorima-- Weiss may have to be the one to let him out to pee as he does get a little whiny about it the second she's gone downstairs and *not* opened the door for him.) Midorima gets up on his own though and instead of checking on them, goes through his morning routine. Wake up, glasses on with his right hand, morning stretches, brush teeth and hair, wash face, change into active wear, and head downstairs. (The shower is planned for after his jog.) He's getting his water bottle out of the fridge as he checks his horoscope for the morning. Cancer is in 11th place. Don't be impatient! Take a deep, slow breath and cool down. If you keep calm, you'll see a breakthrough. Lucky color: White, lucky item: Pancakes.
